Conservative Blog: Barack Obama Endorses Communist Punk Che Guevara

  • Richard · 1 year ago
Well - not sure if he would "endorse enslaving homosexuals" since there was an allegation that he - himself - had sex with Larry Sinclair. If true...Obama is done.

Would it make a difference if I were to point out that this was *not* "his Houston campaign office" but a volunteer office outside the control of his campaign? And that his campaign has distanced itself from them, denouncing it as offensive to offensive to "Americans of all backgrounds"?

well, of course he is going to deny it...haha.
  • Justin W.J. · 1 year ago
The truth is, no one will be able to tell you why Obama "Can't" show patriotism, because is simply isn't true. Look at his campaign logo for one, is resembles the American flag, why does he need a pin? But I love the fact that a hand over the heart is that big of a deal to you guys. Doesn't it make your argument a little desperate for talking points?
  • Urban Conservative · 1 year ago
    @ Justin

It's a matter of principle; something you obviously know nothing about.
  • Felonious · 1 year ago
Some people would also point out that as a member of the media yourself, even if only as a blog, it would be a matter of principle to check your facts before making claims.

Secondly, seeing as the Obama campaign has informed the public that they have no control over a volunteer campaign office, the issue becomes less about Obama's supposed patriotism and more about the willingness of some people to believe anything regardless of evidence.

For my two cents, I believe that patriotism is more than making simple gestures such as wearing lapel pins or making a specific salute while the National Anthem plays. Patriotism runs deeper than that, and frankly I find it alarming that such token displays have been granted such undue importance in today's culture.
  • Urban Conservative · 1 year ago
    @ Felonious

I am not the media. I am one man with an opinion. And...just because Obama says that it wasn't his campaign office, doesn't mean he is telling the truth. IT was Fox that reported it, not me.

And yes, I agree with you that patriotism is much deeper than lapel pins or saluting, etc. but it seems to me like he is trying to make a statement. Otherwise, what's the big deal with putting your hand over your heart?
  • Phillip Lorenz · 1 year ago
I love that picture you have of Barack and Che. Great photoshopped effects. Can hardly see the edges around Obama.

He is the "media darling". He must be perfect! Is this reverse discrimination?
Is it a fear of not being perceived as politically correct?

Whether he knew about the flag being there or not it certainly shows a slice of who his supporters are.

I think Obama is a VERY angry and negative black man. His wife is just as bad. He certainly knows how to capitalize on the "Bush Derangement Syndrome". I guess people don't believe it could actually get worse...
  • davidwwalters · 1 year ago
Connie says: "I guess people don't believe it could actually get worse..."
Yes, it can get worse, with people who's greatest concerns seem to be who isn't making the proper salute!.......how petty.
We need a commander in chief who can think, not merely one who is politically correct(in the right-wing'd sense)......because the present commander-in-chief has left a big pile of shit for all us americans to clean up!
  • Urban Conservative · 1 year ago
    @ davidwwalters

And, who do you think that commander in chief should be? And, what the heck do you mean by politically correct (in a right wing'd sense)?
  • davidwwalters · 1 year ago
........Politically correct in a right wined sense? That would be mindlessly harping on what our so-called leaders should wear on their lapels, or should mouth, like god bless america, or we better not cut&run.........

The next Commander-in-Chief is going to have to be a man who is able to do lots of negotiating.......someone who has those ephemeral traits such as being able to command presence at a meeting of leaders, as well as hold his pee.....
Someone who can make unattractive choices.......and of the 2 likely candidates(McCain/Obama)......i'll opt for a change, 'cause the policies we have been following for these past 8 yrs are bringing us to hell. Whoever the next president we have though had better be ready for some tough times, thanks to the mindset that has brought the Mother of all Cluster-fucks to:
our foreign policy, our military, to events in the middle east.........and i can go on.......economy?
The Commander-in-Chief needs to lead, not manage........by inspiring people to work for a common goal.
    So who Inspires you?
  • Urban Conservative · 1 year ago
LOL…that’s not being politically correct. It’s about loving your country, despite its mistakes.

You will opt for change? Obama talks a lot about this and, frankly, I am getting sick of it because there is no substance to his message. Change is indeed a good thing; but it could mean anything. He…like most democrats don’t have a plan.

Who inspires me? No one currently running for office on either side. But I am voting for McCain because he will serve us better from a foreign policy perspective.
  • davidwwalters · 1 year ago
Urban.......right now, many people do seem inspired by Obama, and in way i haven't seen since.......Reagan?
And inspiration is the key ingredient in leadership........getting people to do impossible things(......it's why we have combat leaders, not combat managers). And right now, we have an opportunity to choose a leader; not a tired, old manager......to repeat the mistakes of current administration........and like i said, it ain't gonna be easy for whoever that may be. But someone who inspires&can think well on his feet .........would be better suited for the foreign policy endeavors that loom ahead for the next Commander-in-Chief.....and that ain't John McCain.
  • hcapper · 1 year ago
If B H Obama were to be elected we can look forward to at least four years of "obamanation" - this man(?) has more contempt for the military than slick willie - and you gotta go so to beat that sub-standard.
Bill and Hill treated the White House Military Aides as though they were domestics - Hill insisted they carry her luggage.
With BHO in the White House we will have as a Commander in Chief someone who actually hates this country -- one only has to point to his wife's recent comments about her "pride" in America to realize this guy is really the Manchurian candidate and we as a nation are going to be in a world of hurt.
  • hcapper · 1 year ago
davidwwalters -- interesting to note you do not see a literate need to capitalize words like "God" or "Americans".
Guess one should be glad you capitalized Reagan. A capitalization well deserved.

    woops...

Jim Jones and Hitler were also inspirational and charismatic leaders and look what happened?

As i said before, there is no substance to his message; and people are going to sick of the "we need change, change and change" speeches.
  • davidwwalters · 1 year ago
hcapper......thanx for better defining politically correct in a right-winged sense(no caps on god.......)
And Urban.......we're discussing (sane) leadership.......my bad, i thought that was a given.
No one has yet suggested Obama is not sane(yet).
As to lack of substance.........he seems very clear about ending our experience in iraq ASAP.
  • Connie · 1 year ago
    Where to even start...
Obama is a master at manipulation. This Country has become soft and so obviously desperate. Most American's have no clue as to how bad things can really be. Ask someone who was lucky enough to get out of S Korea in the '70's.
While I agree many issues need immediate attention, empty promises, bigger Government and spending hundreds of billions of dollars on entitlement programs is not going to "fix" the problems of the day. This kind of "change" isn't worth the amount I have in my pocket.
I have no doubt that our enemies are immensely enjoying this display of complete desperation. They aren't so soft, they know what hard times really are.
Anyone who believes Obama will have the same effect when he "sits down with" Achmadenijad as he does on American's is dreaming. None of those sorts will even begin to be so easily deceived or charmed by his "charisma". We are like sitting prey.
I have spoken with so many legal immigrants that have come here, and with hard work, had the opportunity to prosper. They see what's happening so clearly. This is a quote from a recent conversation, "This is not my Country, but I was lucky enough to be allowed to come here, and prosper, what is wrong with people that they don't see the freedom and opportunity they have...I took hand-outs from no one, what I have I worked hard for, I was allowed to earn it...this freedom should not be taken for granted".
Do all these people really want to lose the opportunity that free speech and capitalism bring?
This is not a rock concert...it is our future.
  • davidwwalters · 1 year ago
Connie, you may well turn out to be right...Obama may turn out to be nothing more than a manipulator. We'll don't know how he'd or McCain react to a 9-11.....or a cuban missile crisis. We do know, however, that John McCain identifies with the disastrous Jr. Bush's policies in iraq.......and we all knows where "........bring 'em on!" or "Mission Accomplished" takes us........to me THAT was idle talk(dangerous to boot!). But i do have hope.....
No, we don't need more of the same ideas that have predominated the executive branch. We can begin the change by withdrawal from iraq, which Obama has pledged to do while Mccain sees a hundred year war!
  • Connie · 1 year ago
    David:
Unfortunately we don't have any choice that I would prefer at this point.
So...My theory, which I admit may be wrong.
First and foremost, McCain has seen and experienced the horrors of war first hand. If you observed him when he was endorsed by Romney and Bush Sr, his body was very rigid, he was fidgety, blinking, minimal if any eye contact, it made me uncomfortable watching him. On the other hand, when endorsed by Schwarzenegger and Kennedy he was jovial and appeared on top of the world.
He has said on multiple occasions, never let your enemies know your weakness or your plan. I don't believe he intends to remain in Iraq at the level we have been and I really don't believe he agrees with how this war has been handled. He has said as much. He is in a precarious situation as he needs the Republican base and the Independents. He also will not let Iraq know what is true intentions are. He has seen too much. Too many politicians will do or say anything for votes, I honestly believe he loves this Country and will not tip his hand to the enemy.
He is the closest we have to a Moderate choice and I believe the lessor of the evils on several levels.
  • angryqban · 1 year ago
    David,

You are right about the Iraq war being a mistake. But - leaving abrubtly now as commie Obama wants to do is complete folly. I guess you don't understand Obama's foreign policy plans and how disastrous they are. It's not just the Middle East; he wants to befriend Chavez, Castro and even the Iranian leader (can't spell his name). Can't you liberal idiots see this will NEVER work? Obama couldn't even name ONE Latin American leader! And this man wants to be president? He has commie posters of "el Che" in his offices, his wife admits she has never been proud to be an American. I am a lifelong republican who admitedly is very disillusioned with Bush, but do you want to go from bad to MUCH WORSE? Obama is a MISTAKE!!!! Go Hillary or McCain! Anybody but this anti-american commie lover....
  • davidwwalters · 1 year ago
angryqban.......why exactly is diplomacy a complete folly? "You are right about the Iraq ..... But - leaving abruptly now as commie Obama wants to do is complete folly." Actually, i do understand Obama's policy.......i have no gripe with Castro, or Chavez, though i do understand many Cuban-Americans do hate Castro. But that's not our(america's)fight.....
-just as iraq is not our fight.
No, it will not get much worse with an Obama as president, as long as he institutes a policy where the usa is not in the "nation building" business.
.....and somehow Connie, McCain may be construed as a moderate.......but the evil
would be........ to remain in that region. Bring the troops home NOW!
  • Suburban Moderate · 1 year ago
"But I do love this country and would die to protect the freedom of our citizens."

Apparently those freedoms don't include what you wear, what religious beliefs you have, or whom you share a bed with.

Can you provide a list of which freedoms you would die to protect? Then it would be useful to also provide lists of things you would only sprain an ankle for ... or just might nod in general support of?

    Inquiring minds want to know!
  • angryqban · 1 year ago
    David,

I never said diplomacy is complete folly. However, islamic extremists cannot be dealt with in a diplomatic way. Most sensible folks (both republican and democrat) can see that. If we leave Iraq now, it will become a breeding ground for terrorists. Is that what you want?

And you say you have no gripe w/Fidel or Chavez? They are self-proclaimed enemies of the US. Chavez in particular has gone out of his way to hurt us, and is planting seeds that will grow into anti-US establishments all throught the region. Whose side are you on? Obama was asked recently to name three Latin American leaders he admires. He could not even name ONE! Is a man who cannot even name three LA leaders (an area in which our foreign policy has suffered under Bush) a good choice for President?

Plus - this whole thing with Obama idolizing Che Guevara really bothers me (and it should bother you, too). Che hated the US, capitalism, and democracy. He wrote extensively about his hatred of the US. And this man's poster and Cuban flag are posted in his campaign offices? And his wife's anti-American comments really bother me too.

I guess you liberal types aren't bothered by all this...

Obama appears to me to be a anti-u

" In Obama's book, "Dreams From My Father," he repeatedly refers to his friend and adviser as "Frank."
"The reason is apparent: Davis was a known communist who belonged to a party subservient to the Soviet Union. In fact, the 1951 report of the Commission on Subversive Activities to the Legislature of the Territory of Hawaii identified him as a CPUSA member. What's more, anti-communist congressional committees, including the House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC), accused Davis of involvement in several Communist front organizations," Kincaid said."

    From: WorldNetDaily

    I don't like to copy/paste, but didn't feel I could capture this if I didn't.
It's a long way to November, much can change. If you look at the polling data in the past it is very apparent that what may be true in the Spring looks very different by November.
I think Obama will need to answer a lot of questions.
  • angryqban · 1 year ago
    Connie,

That is indeed very interesting. Why can't everyone who has been smitten by Obama see through all this BS? I hope you are right and things DO change by November. I really think Obama is at least very dangerous, if not evil (all you far-left liberals can laugh all you want). What really pisses me off is that the media is conveniently ignoring the Guevara flag, Michele Obama's "not proud to be an American" gaffe and the fact that although he talks a good talk, his message has no substance. Sure - he is an excellent speaker, debater, and is very charismatic (but so was Hitler). Going further, the leftist media in this country is already piling on McCain for his alleged wrong-doing. Of course, this is the same leftist media that didn't care about Bill Clinton's transgressions and perjury. If Obama is elected President, he should thank the media.

Angryqban wrote: "I never said diplomacy is complete folly. However, islamic extremists cannot be dealt with in a diplomatic way."
So, in this "special case" we should suspend any hope of resolving a conflict......? --and i'm not sensible? Why is it, or under what circumstances that we should not, as sensible people think.......that diplomacy should not even tried? i don't know, but i must be crazy, THAT sounds crazy to me(not negotiating)!
And no, i am not bother'd by Castro, Che......D.Ortega......and i know a bit about them, as i fought them in the 80's. But to me, none of these guys(and Chavez) bother me. i can see how certain fruit companies, or the mafia, or the cia do not like 'em......but that's their problem, not the american public. i had no business training el-salvadorian's, many who have become ms19......but it was my job in the summer '82 at ft.Bragg(i was an M-60MG leadership instructor), now those skills are used on our streets--it's called "blow-Back"!
  • Connie · 1 year ago
    David:

I agree, negotiating would be great. But, do you really believe it is possible to negotiate with people who are trained to hate beginning at birth? Based on their behavior, how can they possibly ever be trusted?

I don't see "hope" with Obama...I see negativism, class warfare and Socialism at best. I see him trying to take guns away from people, and I really think this could lead to significant unrest among American's and conflict we have not seen on this soil any a long time. Not to mention there is no way to pay for everything he talks about.

    I ask...where is the "hope"?

    I will show my ignorance...what is a "ms19", "M-60MG", "blow-Back"?
  • Heather · 1 year ago
I came to this blog yesterday vis-a-vis the Bernie Ward story which, as a liberal and a Bay Area native, I've been following closely. From there, I began poking around.

A couple of things about this place struck me right away: First, I couldn't help but notice that our blog host is as bright as anybody posting on the net today, from the right OR the left--and that, for the most part, the contributing commenters are no intellectual slouches either. In terms of wit, style and literary charm, not to mention basic adherence to the rules of English grammar (!), this blog is no Freeper clone.

The second thing that struck me is that, for a collection of otherwise intelligent folks, there sure is a lot of disingenuous, sloppy thinking afoot. I can't quite figure it out.

Witness this very blog post: it would have been so easy for Urban Conservative to check on the veracity of the Obama camp's claim that the office in question was a volunteer effort. It would have been a cinch--not to mention a valuable demonstration of journalistic responsibility, fostering inestimable gratitude and trust from chance visitors and other noobs like me. Maybe you don't realize what tremendous goodwill and legitimacy a simple willingness to sweat a little in pursuit of the facts can lend you. It wouldn't require the sacrifice of a single lick of your partisan fire.

But rather than conducting the all-important, legitimizing legwork, this really bright guy--who clearly has no difficulty writing and thinking on all six cylinders at once--opts instead to blog about an already-discredited propaganda piece, apparently in a flailing, fruitless attempt to breathe life into a story that was DOA in the first place. What a bizarre waste of time and talent. I'm serious! This is not partisanship talking. This kind of thing--choosing the wrong material from which to riff, however wittily--will get you precisely nowhere.

By the way, it's not true that Obama is all talk and no plans. What do you say you read his website, eh? His plans are right there for all to see. C'mon man, rather than shadow-boxing with the ghost of Che Guevara, why not attack Obama where he lives, where all good Democrats live--on his policies? Flex some mental muscle; wonk-out a little. There's enough there for any conservative worth his salt to whip himself into politically blogworthy fulminations for months.

It's not that you're not up to the task. You're lazy, preferring cheap shots and canned talking-points to exercising your noodle and taking a substantive stand. Be an opponent, for God's sake--not a gossipy, irrelevant, paper tiger. Lord knows there's enough of those drifting about in blogospheric obscurity.

But then, you never promised me a rose garden, much less a con-blog that traffics in anything more useful or timely or pertinent than spectral invocations of that musty old icon of socialistic badassedness, Che G. Outta sight, my brother; thanks for the blast from the past.

Ability-wise, you're so close to being on the ball here, it's crazy. But as the old saying goes, a miss is as good as a mile.

    Good luck,

    Connie:
"I will show my ignorance...what is a "ms19", "M-60MG", "blow-Back"?" OK....my bad, it's the MS13 gang(Mara Salvatrucha).....sorry about the typo. In the early 1980's while i was a soldier in Ft.Bragg, soldiers from ElSalvador were being trained by my unit .......There was a nasty civil war going on, and some of the troops we trained ended up as MS13 gang members.......which has been exported to the united states. An M-60 was a machine gun we used at that time......and blow-back is the unintended consequences of an action taken......in the case of the usa, we have a penchant for becoming involved in the affairs of other nations to achieve some strategic gain, and many times our actions have a ripple effect far beyond what was anticipated. Take iran......in 1953 the usa staged a coup to insert a ruler favorable to us in our struggle against the soviets......1979, the people rose up in disgust at the shah, and siezed our embassy.......the site of cia operations.
We need a leader---someone able to think more than one move ahead(to use a chess metaphor)......Someone who can arm and equip our troops with up to date, modern weapons, and ALL the accoutrement's of war.......like magazines that work, blast resistant vehicles. We can save BILLIONS of dollars by just forgoing 1 Virginia Class Submarine. But you seem so scared of the socialist/commie boogie-man, when it's the capitalist pigs(gee i sound like a red!)that have ruined our country and our otherwise fine military institutions.

What an obnoxious gnat of a remark, Connie. WTF? Why, I've don't think I've ever seen a comment more stark-ravingly empty.

Seriously, why bother replying if that's all you've got? There's no "there" there. Sometimes less is just...less: insufficient, inferior, lessor-than. You couldn't forego hyperbole for half a second. Apparently, substance is to Connie as water is to witch: to be avoided at all costs.

Obama is not a socialist any more than Bush is a fascist and neither wants a dictatorship, for the love of God. What infantile twaddle. If you really believe that about Obama--if you weren't joking or exaggerating for effect--then you must be delusional, out of your mind. Here's wishing you a speedy recovery from your affliction.

    David,

I don't believe you can use diplomacy to change the beliefs of Muslim extremists that have been programmed from birth to destroy the infidel. And yes, our foreign policies in the Middle East over the last 80 or so years do give them many reasons to hate us. These people will not rest until we are destroyed - understand that.

As you probably know, Hugo Chavez has been very busy in Venezuela expropriating US business interests in the name of Socialism. Castro did the same thing in the early sixties. Almost without exception, all the factories, refineries and mines Castro stole from us fell into disrepair and idleness. Chavez is following the same path as Castro. Cuba was once the most advanced country in Latin America. Look at it now. And don't blame their position on the embargo, either. These guys may not bother you, but they do bother many millions of Americans, not just Cuban-Americans. Ahmadinejad probably doesn't bother you either, I suppose?
  • davidwwalters · 1 year ago
angryqban.....as to the "These people will not rest until we are destroyed - understand that." -- i am sure there are many who would do us ill, however you make it seem as though EVERYONE in that sad region feels the same(hating americans). The purpose of engaging the leaders of an "unfriendly" nation is partly to encourage the idea that perhaps some of the rhetoric about our nation is not correct.
As far as Chavez and Castro are concerned, and the expropriation of business interests in those countries makes it seem as if my service as a paratrooper was all about being "an enforcer" for business instead of fighting to protect freedom(.......oh, my bad......i was protecting the freedom of business interests to make obscene profits!) My question is: what has exxon/mobile done for the american people? They provide us with fuel, and to make more profits, they try to control as much of the process of production as possible. Publicly traded and trying to make a profit is an excuse that seems to trump personal liberties at times. i have no problem with making a profit, but when companies have power and influence over elected officials, then profit making takes on an uglier quality.
Jimmy, i haven't tried(killing myself), but others have.....so i quess i am here for a reason. From the Gospel of Luke Ch22/38: "........And they said: "Look Master, here are two swords!"
And He said to them: "That is enough."--i wonder what Jesus was talking about?
    Maybe he was an insurgent.........

Jimmy: The world would be a better place if I killed myself? Wow, what a beautiful Christian sentiment. How very pro-life of you.

There's something going on on this blog that has nothing to do with politics. Jimmy, you're hiding something very dark and cruel behind a veil of political ideology. Your comment to me is by no means representative of true conservatism, that's for sure. None of the Republicans I know--and there are gobs of them here in Sacramento--would say such a thing to me or to anybody. Not for any reason, ever.

Last time I checked it's a two-party system we have here in this country. We're supposed to compete in the marketplace of ideas--not tell the opposing side they ought to go kill themselves. I realize of course that says everything about you and absolutely nothing about your otherwise honorable party.
  • angryqban · 1 year ago
    David,
You say "The purpose of engaging the leaders of an "unfriendly" nation is partly to encourage the idea that perhaps some of the rhetoric about our nation is not correct". Sounds great, but do you think Obama will do that? Musharraf is on his way out in Pakistan. Pulling out of Iraq anytime soon will add more kindling to the Middle East fire. Iran will continue to be a problem. Peace in Israel will probably never happen. Now insert into this equation a young president with very little foreign relations experience and with a naive expectation that he can go out and make nice with all our adversaries. I honestly hope he does well, if elected (which looks like a pretty good bet right now). I just don't want to go back to the Jimmy Carter days (or worse).
Just so you know, I've been a lifelong republican until Bush. I am now a registered democrat, but I was hoping Hillary would do better. Obama has whipped up America with his oratory skills, charisma, youth and good looks. He is the media darling. But what does he really bring to the table? Hillary or even McCain are more qualified to be President. But, that's only my opinion. It's nice to see blogs like this one where folks with half a brain can exchange meaningful rhetoric.
  • davidwwalters · 1 year ago
angryqban......i too enjoy exchanging ideas, and i have to thank Urban Conservative for giving us the opportunity to do just that--exchange ideas. Me?......i've always been a bit of a "free thinker" with plenty of distrust for politicians of all stripes. i'm lucky to have been born and raised on military posts, it's provided me with a different perspective on the way events occur, and also has allowed me to interact with a wide variety of people from many places globally. As a youth, i was a hippie.....mostly teenage angst directed against my Special Forces dad......but when my girlfriend became pregnant, i dropped out of school and joined the 82nd airborne......and it was, for the most part a positive experience for me, i learned a lot about myself and the world we all inhabit.
in 2000......i did not vote for Bush simply because it was clear to me he was the oil industries man. i may have voted for McCain, but he was smeared by Bush's machine.......and i didn't like Al Gore much. But being right in my assessment of young Bush was no comfort. Our next Cmd.-in-Chief will have his work cut out for him or her....and there is simply no way any person can adequately prepare for the task. Past administrations seem to think only far enough untill the next election, and these dysfunctional policies has led to the blow-back and negative public opinion(in that region in particular) that makes the task at hand all the more difficult.
It will not be enough to simply rely on military power to achieve our goals, because armed might is merely an extension of our foreign policy.......not to be used to the exclusion of negotiations, but in conjunction with diplomacy. This is the main lesson to be gained from this iraq fiasco. And when we do resort to the military option, a leader needs to listen to ALL opinions of his military staff, not just those from likely "yes men". One thing that is clear to me is the need for more active duty personnel in the military(not reservist or NG's)......and less money spent on big ticket items like Virginia Class subs.
John McCain.......i give him credit for what he has endured, but i think he is too beholden to special interests. Can Obama do it? Maybe we'll find out.
  • Connie · 1 year ago
    David:

It sounds like you have a great deal of "inside" understanding of the military. Far more than I do. My biggest issue at this juncture is Homeland Security. Without this none of the other issues will really matter much. However, economy and safety is difficult to separate.
History has proven that bigger Government has generally lead to an uprising of the people, followed by Monarchy/Oligarchy. George Washington said, " Proper limitation of Government is the foundation of freedom. Reason and freedom both forbid us to expect that National morality can prevail in exclusion of religious principle". Benjamin Franklin added, "Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom", followed by, "As Nations become corrupt and vicious they have more need of masters". When you look back at Rome, it is difficult to ignore the parallels.
Speaking as someone in the industry, our Health Care system is quite simply a mess. Publicly traded for profit companies are all very powerful and the result in some, if not most instances, has been control of personal liberties. Hence, how do you legislate morality? On the other hand, if Government steps in and takes control of Health Care, Utilities, Banks,...general things we all need to survive, I do not see this to be a better option. Who do we have that can step in to this absolute mess that has been created, and while maintaining personal liberties pull us back the other direction? Britain just took over a large bank (don't know the specifics on this) that was in destitute negatives and now, the burden of all this debt is squarely back fully and directly on the people. I see our Country so close to this.
All in all...politicians involved in special interest and/or power both seem to be a grim choice to me. Mr. Obama's voting record no doubt points to loss of personal liberties and personal responsibility. Mrs. Clinton much the same. Mr. McCain, I agree with you has, many special interests.
At no point in time in history has the Government taken over with the end result being positive, in fact the diametric opposite has taken place. There is no way ANY "Messiah" or other individual can by some genius fix this alone. The American people need to wake up and remember they all have personal responsibility to maintain our liberties. Blindly following anyone, without doing homework is hopeless.
I can tell you this, the last thing I want is to lose, is the Right to Bear Arms. People seem to be more involved in restricting smoking, who should be allowed to marry whom... and it goes on and on... rather than paying attention to far larger issues of the day.
It all looks like Rome to me.
  • davidwwalters · 1 year ago
    Connie.....
"It all looks like Rome to me."--finally we agree on something......and "rather than paying attention to far larger issues", our nation seems to have it's attention diverted away.......Why? Just as an illusionist tricks us to take our eye off the card, politicians(of both parties)muddy the waters of politics with these so-called issues to divert our attention from the "man behind the curtain". Simply put, our government operates on a corrupt system of bribery........special interests have special access to congress, and the executive branch, to the detriment of our pocketbooks. I've personally seen the way this corruption has negatively impacted our military and i saw the same thing happening in the highway department i worked at(RaleighNC).........there is a lot of easy money to be made by people with the right connections. This is what I call Big Government.
I have a Ruger .357, an SKS assault rifle.......& lots of ammo(hidden away). I'm trying to focus peoples attention on the Real problem........it's not welfare mamas killing America.......it's the corporate whores and there "friends" in Washington.

    David,

I am a first generation Cuban-American. My parents came over from Cuba in '61. My dad was an Cuban Air Force pilot. When he saw what Castro was all about, he quicky defected to the US.

As you can imagine, my father adopted this country as his, became a citizen, and was always a Republican. He hated Kennedy for all his screw-ups involving his homeland and had been a conservative unitl GW Bush changed his mind.

As for me, I served in the US Air Force for 3 years (84-87) and am proud to be an American.

Let's hope Obama does well, because it looks like he will be our next Prez...

angryquban.....i kinda figured with a moniker like you have that you came from Cuba........ "and am proud to be an American."--ain't nothin wrong with that. Believe it or not, i too am very proud to BE an American......just not always proud of America's actions.

"Let's hope Obama does well, because it looks like he will be our next Prez..."

There is a lot of time until November. Do you really think all of Obama's ties to friends involved in communism won't become an issue at some point?
Then there is Farrakhan, the "Nation of Islam" support, his wife's mouth, the crazy church he chooses to go to, his real voting record, and I could go on.
All his talk about special interests and Lobbyists, well he's got several on his payroll.
I just can't imagine the media or his opponent will continue to give him a pass on all of this.
For goodness sakes, people are asked more in a job interview for an Insurance company than he has had to answer.
Mrs. Obama says she and her husband believe the "souls" of people need to be healed. Give me a break. That is creepy.

Connie....."All his talk about special interests and Lobbyists, well he's got several on his payroll."
Sadly, this is true......and somehow i doubt our founding fathers envisioned a system where overt bribery was the method to begin the legislative process. And it always boils down to picking the worse of 2 evils for elected office.......and the one with the most money to produce the most smear ads wins. The enemies are not conservative, they are not liberal.......they are the Washington Lobbies.

    David:

    Thanks for sharing that URL.

I am in the mental health field and hear from the gut level many sides of this issue. Being a "spectator" I can only gather the information I have and try to sort out what I believe. I certainly believe the people that have been in Iraq over anything I hear in the media...particularly the ones I see, who have no agenda other than healing themselves.
My heart goes out to all of them, which isn't much I know. My comment about "burying my head in the sand"- many say that if we pull out now it will make them feel as if it what they did and have gone through was worthless, and others are quite like the gentleman in the URL you sent. It just seems a no win situation at this point.

"many say that if we pull out now it will make them feel as if it what they did and have gone through was worthless,......."
When i was in high school(near Ft. Bragg), in the early 70's, i would hang out with these GI's......they had the best weed(being back from nam). They also had heroin addictions(something i avoided). They would speak of their experiences, and the pointlessness of their situation; they all were trying to avoid being a casualty in a war already lost.
Our countries leaders have placed a new generation in an equally grim situation. To me. the punks are the ones who so blithely send these troops into this mess.

People who want to know the facts about OBAMA, here they are, In a meeting with Jewish leaders in Cleveland, Ohio, Obama told them that he has never been a muslim. Obama said that he took the oath of office with his hand on a Bible. He said that the rumor that he does not say the pledge of allegiance is false, and that he would never have survived as an elected government official this rumor was true. Obama who was raised by his single mother, since he was three, said his father was not religious at all, and worshipped no faith. Obama's mother, and grandparents who raised Obama are all Christians. He has been attending the same Christian Church for over 20 years, got married as a Christian, and is raising his two daughters as Christians. Those people, are the facts!!!
  • angryqban · 1 year ago
Lisa - How do you explain Farrakhan's endorsement of Obama? Have you seen any evidence (pictures) of Obama with his hand over his heart during the Pledge? Or personally heard him recite the Pledge? Do you know anything about his church? He SAYS his dad was this or wasn't that, but has this been proven? The only reason Obama is winning the election is because the MEDIA is backing him. The same media that is influenced by all these Hollywood communist-lovers like Susan Sarandon, Sean Penn, Danny Glover (the list, sadly, is long). Sadly, the average American is not that bright, and is influenced entirely too much by this media. If Obama is elected, he should personally thank each one of these idiots...
  • angryqban · 1 year ago
    David,

You state "The enemies are not conservative, they are not liberal.......they are the Washington Lobbies." and "it's not welfare mamas killing America.......it's the corporate whores and there "friends" in Washington." I agree. But - I don't think Obama (or Clinton or McCain) will change any of the corruption and lobbying that has always gone on (and probably always will). Unfortunately, it's "pick your poison" time again. If Obama is elected, we will probably return to something like our country had to endure during the Jimmy Carter days. That is, high taxes, high inflation, high unemployment and surely a worsening economy (you think times are bad now??). Our foreign policy will probably be to appease those who will do us harm (ie - Muslim extremists), while destroying the closer ties we now have with our main allies (Germany, France, Britain and Canada). If you haven't noticed, Merkel in Germany and Sarcozy in France have become much more pro-US than their predecessors. Why? - these leaders recognize the threat we face with Muslim extremism, and that they must unite with the other Western powers to combat this scourge. Obama intends to take this whole process in the other direction. Obama wants to re-do NAFTA. Do you think Canada will like this? I can go on....Foreign policy is extremely important. Bush has not done a great job, but Obama will be a disaster in the opposite direction. Hillary or McCain, however much I dislike them also, will be better for the Presidential post.
  • Connie · 1 year ago
    Angryqban,

I couldn't agree with you more. Obama would be a disaster. Rather than focusing on his middle name, there needs to be a lot more focus on the issues you brought up. It is all far too emotional.
The biggest problem are the voters who really know absolutely nothing about the man, or any of the others for that matter, it's just "cool" to follow the mantra.
Obama is following the "mind control" play book to a tee.
  • angryqban · 1 year ago
    Connie,

I also agree with you. The media has hyped up Obama to rock star status. They are pushing him, big time, to Joe Average Media Consumer. Obama recently outspent Hillary on advertisng by a four to one ratio during last week's American Idol episode. I don't know if you like American Idol; I think it is a bunch of crap. They are hoping the types of people that watch American Idol (and the other main-stream media garbage they are using their advertising $$ on), who generally have been apathetic voters in the past, will get motivated by this hype and vote for "Change".

I really hope I'm wrong, because the betting man in me says Obama will be our next Commander in Chief. I was wrong about Bill Clinton. Somehow, I don't think that is the case w/Obama. God help us...
  • Connie · 1 year ago
Everything Obama says and does is an oxymoron...starting with, "The Audacity of Hope".
His staple is to prey on feelings and emotions. Intellect is not something I have ever heard him utilize in his responses or to explain his decisions.
It doesn't surprise me that he gets the college kids with this. I find it hard to believe that thinking adults cannot or won't see through all of this.
The Rezko trial starts tomorrow...maybe he will have to answer some real questions with some real answers someday.
Name one time he "reached across the aisle" in his 3 years in the Senate.
He says he will sit down with Achmadenijad. Whether you like Fox news or not...he won't even accept an interview with any of them. So...what does that tell you about what he thinks of the American people, and how is that attempting in any way to "bring people together"?
It is a long way to November and I am still holding on to faith in the American people. If the majority really want Socialism that is what they will get.
  • Zachary · 1 year ago
I have to agree with angryqban. It looks like Obama will be our man. I will never vote for someone so polarizing politically but I wont have to for him to when.

I visited his official site. Listened to his introductory video and then headed straight for the issues tab. I have to admit, I was a little suprised. There are some policy proposals that I have to say don't sound that bad, especially the middle class tax cuts and some of the business tax incentives, but I realized that everything I was reading was the same as his speaches. Some good policy proposals. Some redistribution of wealth. All empty promises.

Who is going to pay for all these freebies, handouts, and job creation programs?

And the poverty section only detailed his American poverty programs. Where is the massive pile (hundred billions) of our cash he wants to let the U N redistribute?

If you have a problem with the failings of our bureaucratic system check out the United Nation's track record. I say distance ourselves as much as possible from those wastes of time.

I'm so glad you blogged about these issues with Obama. I am a Democrat, (for now), but I refuse to vote for a man who won't show the slightest bit of patriotism to the great country that gave him the freedom and opportunities to pursue whatever he wants, including the office of president. The more research I do on him, the more concerned I become and the more I'm going to inform as many people as I can about my findings. To know that his church and pastor/spiritual adviser are very racist against white people and endorse Louis Farrakhan, leader of the "Nation of Islam", who states openly and with vigor his hatred of white people, gays, and Jews, among others. To know that he won't put his hand over his heart during the pledge of allegiance to the flag, to know that he doesn't even really incorporate the American flag within his campaign documents or signs, but rather, created a new "logo" that has red, white and blue within it. To know that he was not outraged by the Che Guevara/Cuban flag in his campaign office, but rather dismissed it as "not under his control". To hear his wife stating that "this is the first time in my adult life that I am proud of this country" only when she may have a chance at being "First Lady" when she, herself, has been a recipient of some of the greater privileges this nation has to offer such as the best education available. It all makes me sick. I wish people would wake up and ask questions instead of just figure "oh, he wants to be a movement of change!" I wonder what his answer would be if asked directly, "Barack Obama, do you love this nation and would you die for the freedoms it gives you?" I think we may all be surprised at his answer if he answered truthfully. I can go on and on about what I've found on Obama, but I just want you to know that you are appreciated. Please put out the word, keep doing it. It's incredibly important to the future of this nation.
  • davidwwalters · 1 year ago
Again....what is patriotism? Mindless exercises in right wing'd political correctness if you looking for "Templates of Appearances"......like singing the national anthem, or an american flag stick pin made in china.
  • Connie · 1 year ago
What patriotism is NOT: "Divide and Conquer", bigotry, hate, or dishonesty. Obama CHOSE to listen to attempts to do this very thing for two decades or more. He said he did not know the things his pastor was saying, that does not say much for his insight or accountability. The church brochure handed out every Sunday has some very divisive statements in it as well. So, I guess he never read that either. Wright is obviously very passionate about his beliefs, these beliefs did not just come out a handful of times or suddenly develop. When someone feels this strongly and voices it publicly, it would be impossible not to spill over in to private conversations. Particularly with someone identified as a "mentor". If Wright was able to ruse Obama all these years he certainly is not qualified to be the President. If Obama ascribes to this type of hate and bigotry he is not qualified to be the President. Either way, the answer is, NO HE CAN'T. He was clearly influenced greatly by Wright, per his own words in his book. Again, 20 YEARS, Obama's own words in his book...."guilt by association" or "not having all the same beliefs as your pastor" does not apply here. Obama called this man a "trusted friend and adviser"...who "inspired" the title of his book. Wright was officially
appointed to one of Obama's committee's until just yesterday. VERY poor judgment.
Manipulation through guilt , which has obviously been very effective, perpetuates bigotry. If he truly sees "hope" as he preaches, I have to wonder...."hope" to avenge? The candidate of "unity". His actions prove him to be a walking, talking oxymoron.
  • Firefly · 1 year ago
Connie, I completely agree with you. He has a lot to answer to. My father is a minister, and everything he said in sermons was discussed among the congregation at length. If anything was said that was questionable, people asked questions, criticized or praised depending on the sermon in question. I REFUSE to believe that Barack Obama "never heard any of the statements in question". This provides the explanation as to why Michelle Obama plainly stated that "this is the first time in my adult life that I am proud of this country". She obviously also agrees with and accepts Wright's views on this great nation. I believe that Obama has a lot of explaining to do. I do not believe that he is the right choice for this nation. I would hope that at the very least, people would research this before jumping on the band wagon and backing someone like Obama.

As for DavidWalters post above: You may not find it important to state the pledge of allegiance to this country, or fly the flag, and you may dismiss those rituals as "templates of appearances" or "empty gestures" of patriotism, but there are those among us that respect what the American flag and the pledge stand for. We remember all of the sacrifices that so many generations paid before ours that gave us those rituals and the power behind them. The VERY LEAST I expect from a president of this country is their show of patriotism. This includes placing your hand over your heart when saying the pledge, this includes proudly standing with the flag that represents us. If you don't want to show those things, then you have the choice not to, but to dismiss such displays as "nothing" is a grave mistake. You should be ashamed, and so should Barack Obama.
  • Firefly · 1 year ago
    As a post script:

I'm very curious as to why DavidWWalters did not comment on the 20 year association and deep rooted friendship of Barack Obama with a proud and very vocal anti-American pastor. I'm curious to know your thoughts on that. Do you approve of this connection?

I think it is important for people to know what Obama really thinks in his own words:

From Dreams of My Father, ” I FOUND A SOLACE IN NURSING A PERVASIVE SENSE OF GRIEVANCE AND ANIMOSITY AGAINST MY MOTHER’S RACE”. Barack Obama
From Dreams of my Father, “The emotion between the races could never be pure, even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race (WHITE) would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart.” Barack Obama
From Dreams Of My Father: “That hate hadn’t gone away,” he wrote, BLAMING “WHITE PEOPLE — some CRUEL, some IGNORANT, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives.” Barack Obama
From Dreams Of My Father, “There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs,” he wrote. “It remained necessary to prove which side you were on,to show your LOYALTY TO THE BLACK MASSES, TO STRIKE OUT and name names” Barack Obama
From Dreams from my Father, "At best, these things [manifestations of blackness] were a refuge; at worst, a trap. Following this maddening logic, the only thing you could choose as your own was withdrawal into a smaller and smaller coil of rage, until being black meant only the knowledge of your own powerlessness, of your own defeat. And the final irony: Should you refuse this defeat and lash out at your captors, they would have a name for that, too, a name that could cage you just as good. Paranoid. Militant. Violent. Nigger." Barack Obama
“What I value most about Pastor Wright is not his day-to-day political advice,” Obama said. “He’s much more of a sounding board for me to make sure that I am speaking as truthfully about what I believe as possible and that I’m not losing myself in some of the hype and hoopla and stress that’s involved in national politics.” Barack Obama

Is this the character of a person anyone can honestly trust? His platform has been all about rising above race...

    another post script:

It's curious that Michelle Obama's (then Michelle LaVaughn Robinson) senior thesis at Princeton is being held back (by Princeton) from public view until November 5, 2008. It was specifically written on the racial divide as she was an "African American studies" minor. I did find it at the "Politico" website however. I will be reading it. The more I research, the more concerned I become, as I stated before.

    Interesting.

    Good clip...thanks for sharing

It is unfathomable to me that he could win the majority of the vote. Are people paying attention? Nothing adds up.
The bigotry, hate, and racism is so obvious. It s so much more than "guilt by association". How does anyone who is not black believe that he does not feel hate toward them? Have we become that soft and naive of a society? I am very interested to see more than excerpts from Michelle's thesis as well. I have already heard the excuses of the supporters though. It really is unbelievable. The messiah preaches the "gospel of the social victim". It seems that people either feel like a victim or the ones that don't, feel guilty about the victims. They are blinded...bamboozled.
Here is more of what he knew...

It's shameful. The people defending him probably don't even know all the facts about him. I intend to find out more. I do believe that our nation has become naive in many ways. My husband's aunt is one of the naive ones. Sadly, she also is in a position of power as she teaches people how to teach. It's horrible. I worry about the future of this nation and the lack of care shown by young generations and the lack of respect for basic displays of patriotism which they brush off as "trivial" or "empty". I'm hoping that enough people like you and I, and others who care on this blog, including the blog's author continue to research, uncover and share all the information we find exposing this kind of behavior and belief system. This is completely unacceptable behavior for a candidate of the presidency of the United States of America. If the other "white" candidates were members of churches being openly anti-black or members of the KKK, this would NEVER stand. They would be condemned all around and quickly be removed from the race for candidacy. I would support such action and I would sincerely hope that people don't stand for this behavior from Barack Obama.

It is obvious as technology enables us to accomplish more, we regress and become less collectively. We have entire groups of society that prefer to nuture unconfirmed lies and talking points. America with all of her faults is a nation of diverse people who one must learn the errors of history or drown in misconcevied self disceptions.

".....entire groups of society that prefer to nurture unconfirmed lies and talking points. "
    Good point,
.....we American's are great in so many ways, but to expose our own faults and learn from them is NOT one of our strong suits as a nation. When Rev. Wright spoke, he spoke about things that touch a raw nerve.......but truth, nevertheless.
  • Firefly · 1 year ago
Truth meaning that racism runs both way? I'd say that's the truth!
  • Firefly · 1 year ago
Also, Rev. Wright hates this country. He hates America. Obama attended his church for 20 plus years, considers Wright a "close friend and advisor". Obama does not pay homage to the American flag...a BASIC requirement of the "commander and Chief". I will NOT vote for anyone who doesn't absolutely LOVE this nation, faults and all.
  • davidwwalters · 1 year ago
    Firefly,
To really love your country, sometimes means you have to speak out to make this nation better(a more perfect union)......we are not perfect, just as Rev. Wright's spoke of it in his infamous sermon that few have listened to in it's entirety....
We have failed in all the instances he enumerated. Telling the truth is not racism.
Oh, by the way, Rev Wright did serve his country in the Marine Corps....and as a man who has worn the uniform as a US Paratrooper, i say he has the right to say what is on his mind, and i do not have a problem with that.

This is ridiculous. Even if it WERE Obama's campaign headquarters, he would still deny that flag was there. Just like he has denied that he knew that Reverend Wright was a radical. Just like he denies that he had any idea that his own reverend of twenty years was that full of hate and anger. It took me two minutes to realize that. Why would it take him twenty? Plus, he was praising Wright no less than two months ago. Now all of a sudden he is excommunicating him? It makes no sense. Obama stands around and says that everything that McCain and Clinton are doing is purely political and only as tactics to get votes. What would one call what he is doing? Remember: Politicians will say anything to win. That's just how it is.
  • Chris · 1 year ago
The problem I have with Obama is not whether he has a crazy pastor or if he wears flag pins, it's his plans for America. For example, he proposes a tax cut for people making <$75,000 a year, yet he pushes all of these government programs. Free health care? I don't think so, especially when you look at Canada's and France's income tax. Sorry Obama, but a nanny state (socialism) will only create further problems because now our corrupt government is even bigger.

My first candidate of choice was Ron Paul, but it seems apparent that he's not going to win. I have some issues with McCain such as his continuation of the No Child Left Behind program and Iraq War, but as far as I'm concerned, Obama isn't really fixing those either. (remember, Obama voted to continue funding the Iraq War)

it's amazing just how out of touch you are... really amazing.
this post of yours has been sitting out there since february indicating exactly how much credibility you have. if you had an ounce of intellect... if you had this superior power of "the think" and were "informed" as you claim, you would have the ability to seek out the truth. had you the ability for this, this post would have been removed explaining that it was, in fact, a lie.
sadly, it is more than obvious that you lack these skills, preferring to plop "out there" mindless rhetoric, lies, repitition of email rubbish that have been repeatedly proven false debunked for what they are= crap. , many of these are originating from hate groups. hate groups which you apparently endorse, since you continue to spread their lies, inuendo, and misrepresentations.

you have already stated to me that you endorse many of michael (alan-weiner-i-am-so-ridiculous-i-cannot-even-use-my-real-name) savage...an individual that has been ridiculed and distanced by all thoughtful conservatives of any note as well as kooks like bill o'reilly.

a few facts-( not that these could possibly alter your thinking, because you appear entirely closed minded - seeking only that information which lines with your own pre-formed or email-influenced thinking process.)
the poster of che on the wall behind an obama volunteer belongs to the volunteer- working in her own workplace...not in an official obama headquarters. it endorses nothing . it's a statement.
at her age i had a poster of him on my wall too...along with one of lenin, kennedy, garbo, chaplin, the beatles and albert einstein, among others. it's a statement, pure and simple. just as hanging the flag upside down is a statement.... just as protesting what you feel are unjust government policies is a statement...
you are in the bay area...why don't you wander over some of the bookstores and discover what the 60's movement was all about? why do you not wish to understand? are you so in fear of the fragility of your closely held (and extreme minority) viewpoints that you are afraid to hear the words of others -for fear of losing all that keeps you glued to your keyboard with negativity, suspicion, and deceipt?

this constant noise about patriotism and what "constitutes" this....according to you.
absolute nonsense and stupidy flows freely from those who tout the "i'm an american and you...not so much because I wear a flag pin...and you don't.
the wearing of a flag pin on your clothing (a majority of these are non-US made by the way),
the wearing this item had become the ultimate symbol of hypocracy demonstrated by this administration. those of us with the ability to actually think on our own found this hypocracy disgusting.
understand: the flag is a symbol...a symbol of what a handful of brave men wrote that would guide the laws of this land. documents that underscored our freedoms and our independence from the wills and whims of the british rule. documents that have stood for centuries as this nation's creed, it's promises, it's celebration of a free people.
this administration has demonstrated this love of country by thumbing their collective noses at the constitution- the seperate branches of government designed for the necessary check and balance required - it has seen corruption at the highest levels- while a rubber-stamp congress that turned a blind eye to signing statements, illegal wiretaps, justice department influence to alter elections and voter fraud, cronyism that brought in an inept cabinet, the outing of a covert agent (treason), and ignored/cherry picked information to create fear and an urgency to "go to war" when no such urgency ever existed. a man in the oval office who swore to uphold the constitution then set about in every manner possible to avoid doing this.
    you call this patriotism?
perhaps you need to re-think just what patriotism is- it is our duty to question. it is our duty to provide oversight and checks and balances.
uc...you really need to get out of that little bubble of yours... look around you... that blur you see is the rest of the world passing you by.

    Wow Urban,

Looks like you might have a few professional Obamacommunist on your site. I have to admit they are a little refreshing over the high school kids wantabe's and David Waters, who must have gone delusional during his stay at Brag.

Did you read the story in Canada about the 12 year old kid that sue'd her dad because he grounded her. She won, this is the crap that we are heading towards on our road to a socialistic society. My only question is will the Extremist kill us before we all start learning russian?

It is any surprise that the ones that do not understand the importance and significance of placing your hand over your heart are librals. Because they have no respect for the sacrafice, that others made for the freedom they enjoy pondering this. At least in America Obamacommunist is not shot on site for not doing it, but that does not mean we do not have the right to judge him for not doing it.

All this PC don't judge a book by it's cover crap is getting old, don't like it then change your cover, you look like a shit head, then I will judge you as such.

The rightwing PC of defining Patriotism by merely silly gestures instead of REAL service to your country is what's really getting old.
But the real shitheads are those that see a problem and pretend it's not that big of a deal.
Wanna cut wastful spending? Cut an order for a Virginia class sub and you save $80 Billion or so..........what's wrong with that?

You benighted fool, calling yourself a patriot when your raciest insensitivity puts a shame to word democracy! Help yourself to some books, so your mind will not be instilled with oppressive falsies. Do you really believe we're going to make it with our Capitalist system falling before our very on eyes, thats right no you have no ability to reason. Somewhere I read that reasoning is thought conditioning itself with perfect freedom. Your all speaking of losing all these freedoms because Barack Obama's campaign office in Houston has a flag embedded on his wall, wake up dumb-fuck. Hitler killed Jews, put them in concentration camps, I bet your found of that as our most idiots in your proportion that can barely make up the word annihilation is they're reading, gypsies, homosexuals* like yourself, Jehovah's witnesses, and other people he found to be inferior. Obama is only trying to save chicken shits like yourself from alienation, so stop trying to ruin the chance of progress by putting up nonsense propaganda when peoples beliefs are so suppressed as they are today. Because of people like you our economy is at its worst since the depression 1929 which lasted for ten years which we would have not gotten over if it wasn't for one of the Greatest Presidents of our North American history, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt(FDR), to make it easy on your unconscious mind, who took up Socialist ways to get the people of that time through those harsh times. He rationed items that were scarce, by all reason to stop prices from soring on those commodities, for it is obvious that that is what would happen to us, as it is going on today with gas prices. If you recall prices were at two dollars just a few months ago this year, that is a 100% increase. If our country is really headed for Communism you have nothing to lose but a world two win, unless of course you are part of the three percent bourgeoisies who on all the means of production, then freedom is at stake. "By freedom is meant, under the present bourgeois conditions of production, free trade, free selling and buying." Not the true freedoms of Democracy which Locke expresses to be alienable rights, it will actually return to us what makes us humans the ability to reason. You should really quit your ways of interpreting things awfully, its only depressing you more.

Pick up the book by Howard Zinn "A People's History of the United States" and then you will learn about doing justice.
  • Chris · 1 year ago
    Elenor,

First, you need to understand that our bad economy isn't because of capitalism and the Great Depression wasn't because of some flaw in it. It was the government manipulating interest rates artificially and the Federal Reserve manipulating the money supply that caused the crash then and now. (The New Deal programs didn't do shit, in fact they lengthened the Depression. Why? Because central planning of an economy doesn't work, it did the USSR in) Our dollar has been devalued greatly because of the government trying to borrow so much money. If they kept their nose out of it as the Constitution intended, then we wouldn't be in this mess. Do yourself a favor and take a macroeconomics class.

Second, if you look to a lot of the poorer countries in Africa, you'll notice that a lot of then are ruled under dictatorships in the name of "socialism". The Soviet Union and China classify their governments under the socialism belt and yet, look at their people. Are they happy? Do they have civil liberties and an opportunity to achieve whatever they want to do? Not really. It has gotten better under China, but that's because the Chinese government ALLOWED more privatization in their country. Guess what, Bush expanded the government's interference in the economy and in our lives, now we're seeing the results of big government. Don't be fooled into thinking socialism is the solution, in fact, the opposite is what's required. Socialism only create a very small group of wealthy people and a very large group of poor people.

I stopped reading at 'has an issue with wearing the American flag on his jacket'. What does that have to do with being a good President, much less a presidential candidate? Did George Washington wear a flag pin? Do you? Is it possible to make an accusation that makes you look any sillier?
  • Nope, not Hope · 1 year ago
Ok, fine.  The Che picture on the Cuban flag may not have been done by him.  Nor is that revolutionary picture that he happens to sell on his site "hope".  Yet, his people do this stuff and paint him as a revolution with their art and images.  He embraces it, in the least of accusations.   Is there a picture of Obama on his website where he is not looking up like a Soviet leader? Nope.  His website sells this revolution stuff, so he did it.  I found this great parody of the hope T on this website.  Check it out, I'm sure all anti communist cons will love it.  http://www.cafepress.com/frenchtv1.289756747

This is my first time on this website. I was upset and shocked, that we Americans voted twice for a government, which got us into a completely unnecessary war which costs us billions, with a self-absorbed leader who cannot think beyond his own interests, and as a result we have become a nation of borrowers and beggars. When I read many of the posts here, who believe the bullshit about Obama and Communism, I truly hope McCain wins and we get even more in trouble. We don't deserve any better, and maybe this will wake us up and force us to use our brains for once, instead only our knees to jerk.

I am a student, and am studying the election even though I am just bearly too young to participate in it.  In school we had a short discussion about the candidates and how the US is slowly repossessing the rights of it's citizens.  My teacher explaned how the futuristic horor of 1984 and Fahrenheit 451 are now reality, and that many of the current instructors of todays youth are resigning as an escape from how repressive the teaching curriculum has become (we have security guards and cameras positioned all over the school (also she's leaving with the class of '09)).  She hinted that one of the most popular candidates is pro-communisum, but felt that is was important for me to seek the truth for myself.

My teacher encouraged me to investagate myself, and so I am.

I was at first alarmed to find that everything found online, in books and even slipping off the lips of the leaders of our free world contridict themselves somewhere else.  I find myself growing fearfully suspicious that there really isn't a source that I can blindly trust.  After reading this blog the election now seems like a gamble with the hope of drawing the lesser evil.  How can this be true?

But my pa slipped thru her paws
    Oh bummer.
    Where’s daddy? Echoed ‘round me
And my gramma said "He’s gone!"
When’s he coming back to get me
Cause I’m left here all alone?

I sure don’t look like all you white folk
And I don’t know how to fit
Why’d my daddy leave this country?
Gramps and grammy pitched a fit

Obama may or may not be a fan of Che Guevera. I wouldn't be surprised if he was.  Left liberal Democrats have been soft on Communists for as long as I can remember. My question is why the MSM wasn't all over this? If a McCain campaign office displayed a Confederate flag we would have heard about it immediately. It would probably be part of a Democrat campaign ad.
  • toe · 1 year ago
John- the flag you mention was NEITHER  in Obama's office NOR was it in an official campaign office.  it was in a  volunteer's private home - her work area- regarding the confederate flag- McCain, in yet another of his pandering moments ...well you look at it yourself.

Yes Toe.....this is more right wing BULLSHIT!
No, the real Patriot is Obama, not the Former POW who dropped bombs on downtown Hanoi.
  • Karl · 1 year ago
So David, you are calling Barry Obama a Patriot, though his own BOOK of 'Dreams of My Father' states he gravitates towards Marxist socialism and approves the idea of war with the white race? Since American was founded on the idea of Capitalism and acceptance of any color and creed, what country is he exactly a Patriot of?
  • Karl · 1 year ago
We can also add to this this Obama's relationships with Reverand Jeremiah 'God Damn America' Wright, William Ayers and Frank Marshall Davis (a member of Communist Party USA he related to just after graduating high school at Punaho.) Relationships and past teachings/followings must be weighed when considering everything that is happening now, and the very THOUGHT of Obama being any sort of moderate is laughable.

Obama believes in a bigger, more controlling government (as evidenced by his 'government program for everything' and higher taxes/higher cost of living intention the liberals are trying to sell as a spur to economic growth???? No way, no how, NOBAMA.
  • Karl · 1 year ago
Oh and this just in....Obama is the approved candidate of the Democratic Socialists of America....the U.S. chapter of Socialists International. So your definition of patriotic is the government taking half of what you earn and eliminating capitalism? Sounds like you missed a few history lessons to me.

Wow....that's your best response? WAY TO SIMPLY IGNORE the dirt Barry has. Typical and expected....'WAIT....THE REPS HAVE DIRT ON US....QUICK! Say SOMETHING ABOUT THE BIG OIL COMPANIES! Whew...now we look witty.'

Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back. Your response states clearly a number of things, first and foremost Obama's socialist idea of 'ECONOMIC JUSTICE' which means penalizing people for success. I notice you lefties never seem to criticize the Health Care industry, which has solidly leapt to the Democratic side because of the chance of GUARANTEED health care which will GUARANTEE 5-10% growth above what they are already seeing on their bottom line. WHy? Because socialized/guaranteed health care will be 10 TIMES the problem as social security, and I notice the Dems have NEVER uttered the words COST CONTROLS. Why? Because anything that lines their coffers is 'for the people,' and anything that leans right is 'evil big business.' I just LOVE how that works for you!! You must be very proud....even smug.

In terms of the 'Big, bad oil companies,' I notice you leave out the massive amount of money the oil companies have been pouring into the left lately, because again, NEARSIGHTED Obama has flopped from NO DRILLING to 'Okay, SOME drilling' (whatever the hell that means.) PLUS, they still cannot figure out you need FIVE POINTS of ENERGY to get off foreign dependence.....Oil for cars (since we're 20 years from any infrastructure related to alt-fuel cars) plus nuclear, wind, solar and hydro for structures. The DEMS DO NOT GET the rising demand for energy, and here's an example for you....you know those 400+ wind turbines in palm Springs? They work so well that the liberal anti-nuclear Californians BUY ALL THE POWER from Palo Verde Nuclear Plant. What kind of 'Not In My Back Yard' crap is that??

Again, hard to argue with documented fact. Now, whatever you do, DON'T EXPLAIN YOUR SUPPORT OF A SOCIALIST CANDIDATE ANY WHY HIS HISTORY DOES NOT BOTHER YOU, be sure to come back with the typical, half-a$$ed anti-conservative remark.

Then we can talk about the 20,000 crack addicts your liberal Congress let out earlier this year. With any luck they are moving into your neighborhood.
  • Karl · 1 year ago
David: I firmly support the military (literally, I work the supply line on the commercial side for all branches of the military and Defense Supply centers. My father, born in Austria, was drafted and served as infantry and supply in Viet Nam. Just another non-Patriot, by your definition.

In terms of 6.1% unemployment, what would you expect this year? Companies inflating their payrolls when they are unaware who will be elected in 58 days (andf the guy favored looking to JACK THEIR TAXES UP?) Unemployment numbers typically decline around an election where the result is in doubt, UNLESS the economy is cruising so well to transcend it. In 2000, the layoffs hit in 2001....crash of the IPO's and 9/11's effect on Aero. In 2004 the results wasn't really in doubt as the needle moved solidly left. Go back into history and you will see year of or year after election effects on unemployment. It sucks, but it's expected.

Also, if Obama wins, expect many of these jobs to go overseas since it will still be cost effective to hire at global rates than pay Obama's higher corporate and success tax. It's NOT a windfall tax...it is a penalty for success and is UNAMERICAN.
  • Karl · 1 year ago
Note: I did mean that unemployment numbers GET WORSE in/near and election year in my previous post.

Also, David, I would like your definition of a Patriot....according to your disgusting remark that McCain was unpatriotic for flying multiple missions, I suppose my Dad was unpatriotic when he served on the ground force running supply, and my Uncle DEFINITELY must have been unpatriotic in the AIr Force while repairing those aircraft. I will also pass on your unpatriotic note when I meet Viet Nam ground vets that have historically told me the heroics of the Cobra and F-4 pilots that bailed them out when they were in a jam, and also the 'unpatrioticness' of men like Randy Cunningham and Robin Olds....double aces in their missions. In fact, Robin Olds was an ace gong back to WWII....he flew many more missions than McCain ever flew, so he must REALLY be unpatriotic.
  • Karl · 1 year ago
And just a comment since you clearly have no clue of the effect of higher corporate taxes on your life....if Obama wins, the cost of fuel will RISE in conjuction with his higher corporate standard tax, PLUS it will also get a bump every quarter when they are smacked with a Windfall tax. Get your wallet ready!

one of the benefits of age and experience is realism of expectations. i have absolutely no illusions about barry--and offer an open challenge to anyone to show me their model of successful "african government", itself an oxymoron. is the best example rhodesia, or uganda, or nigeria? is it haiti, or domenica, or jamaica? is it philadelphia, or detroit, or the district of columbia? barry's kenyan/somali forebears are not now within a dozen centuries of understanding rule of law or constitutional democracy or republican governance; further, i submit it's not possible to leap from rustic animistic tribalism to our system of society in one fell swoop, harvard education notwithstanding. the dunham boy is what he is, and will be what he is; what he is NOT is presidential material. period, full stop.

another side effect of age for some is being stuck in an intellectual hole, a dated wardrobe,  blue hair, and driving a car with curb feelers.

    Karl,
Eight yrs. ago I warned of the folly of electing an oil man to the white house.  Turns out I was right, although it sure didn't make me or my wallet feel any better.  We've lowered taxes on Exxon/Mobile, yet gas has gone from about$1.50/gal. to almost $4/gal.  I have nothing against capitalism, but I am tired of the free ride Americans are giving to these corporate whores so they can get rich.  The American people expect corporate citizens to work together to make this country prosper, but it seems as if republican philosophy is that corporations are somehow more important than the people who actually work for a living.
  • David W. Walters · 1 year ago
Are Africans not intelligent enough to govern?  Is that what you're try to say Keltic Poet?
    Who was it that said:
"George Bush gives lie to the idea of white superiority."
  • Karl · 1 year ago
David, apparently you know very little about the history of the Bush and Walker families. Their money was primarily made in banking and investing. Yes, they do have money vested in oil, but anyone with a diverse portfolio does. Have you seen the energy returns lately? They are ALL off the scale due to demand.

Also, I will also like to make you aware that TEN years ago, Clinton signed an act to increase our Reserves which spiked prices and has contnued to, as well as the ethanol subsidy which has spiked prices and WILL continue to until people wise up.

If you want to fall into like with the 'everyone from Texas is all oil and evil' then we can go all the way back the the clusterf**k known as LBJ, but the fact remains global demand would have put the fuel prices over $3 by this year ALONE....the speculators and the ethanol subsidy jacked it up the rest of the way. Instead of complaining, you should be investing.

Also, if you are so concerned about the 'big, bad oil companies,' why are you supporting a candidate who has offered the LONGEST route to energy independence? Adding new nuclear plants and drilling, as well as the addition of wind, solar and hydro plants (all five are in the Rep plan for energy) gets us to goal long before the Dems non-nuclear power plan.

Boy Dave, your really breaking our hearts with all your discontent. Let's be clear on something here. You may not like corporate America, but they are the ones who keep this country running. Not the uneducated moronic masses who are supporting Barack Obama. It's so funny how the "have-nots" always want to blame the "haves" for their problems.

Nobody is stopping you or anyone else from riding a bike to work or driving under 55mph. It has been scientifically proven that fuel efficiency decreases dramatically when driving over this speed. So for all you lead-foots out there--SLOW DOWN. I'm not about to hand my vote over to some Socialist, racist whack-job just so I can save a few pennies on a gallon of gas. And last time I checked, nobody is stopping you from buying stock in ExxonMobil. The problem isn't the oil companies, it's ignorant Americans who want to go faster and pay less to do it.

And would you please quit with the references to how you've served your country and sacrificed, etc., etc. If you're looking for pity, go talk to the ACLU. I'm sure they'd love to cry with you. The fact of the matter is that the war in Iraq is succeeding, much to the chagrin of those who opposed it. So maybe all that money hasn't been a waste after all.

Hate to say it, but Keltic Poet couldn't be more right about black leadership. I'm not being racist, I'm being realistic. Of course you liberals out there don't know the difference. Hmm, what's the SS debt again? Why is the system failing? Oh, that's right, because government programs are never, EVER flexible enough to accommodate growth or changes in the future. If we took the young people and gave them a simple saving account instead, we could wean ourselves away from SS & pay for the people who still have to use SS. Considering how much in the hole the program has dug itself into, there's no way that "taxing the wealthy" (whom, btw, are taxed significantly as is) will ever be able to pay for these programs. I'm not saying to put the money into the stock market, but a simple savings account that people have control over when they retire should be good enough.

Oh, by the way, I never said anything about privatizing Social Security. I want to get rid of it altogether. It's time for Americans to take responsibility for their own futures, instead of depending on the government to do it for them. Give me back my 7.65%.
  • John Chalus · 1 year ago
Mike, I agree with you. Stop Social Security right now. The Ponzi scheme has screwed this country up big time. It was designed for a time long gone. There are no real SS accounts. All of the money goes into the general fund. It was never designed to become a widows and orphans fund. It was often abused by parents who wanted extra cash for their "handicapped" children. I say this from experience. I have had parents who tell my students to act nuts in class so they can be classified. They qualify for Supplemental SS benefits then. End it now and save us a few bucks. I'll put the money in my TDA.

You can get all the communism you want, along with oppression, tyranny, torture, etc., etc. You act like you have done so much for this country, yet you want to turn it into everything that it has always stood against FOR GOOD REASON. America may have made some mistakes, but it has also done some pretty damn good things. And electing Barack Obama would not be one of them.

Keep sulking with the rest of the Dems who think they are owed something. You guys should waste less time pouting and more time improving your lives.

Hey Toe, what's good for the goose...

You want to talk about entertainment, let's talk about whack-jobs like Susan Sarandon, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Tim Robbins, Matt Damon, etc. etc. Don't forget Keith Olbermann, Lou Dobbs, etc. etc.

You're right about one thing, there are plenty of non-partisan sites out there...that show with no shadow of doubt or bias that Obama is a racist, a Socialist, and flat-out liar to name a few things. Perhaps you're the one who needs to get out of the sun!

    Dave--

You must be on the same acid that Toe is on. You can't quite grasp the fact that corporations are made up of people. People who can buy stock, invest in CDs, money market funds, and the like. CEOs are people too. Last time I checked, anyone with a few extra bucks can invest in these companies and make a return on their investment. It doesn't matter if you're making $40,000 or $1,000,000 a year. There are no laws against investing. But I guess the people who invest are evil too, because they profit from big corporations.  And the people who are employed by big corporations, I guess they're evil too because they make a living off of big corporations. Damn, the whole system has to be destroyed! Everyone will be out on the streets without a job, a paycheck, a place to live, etc. etc. But at least the big bad corporations won't be around any more. Mission accomplished, right Dave!

again, point to your sources "Mike" ... prove your vile words with reputable non-affiliated sources.
    i'll be waiting over here.

yes, "Susan Sarandon, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Tim Robbins, Matt Damon, etc. etc. Don't forget Keith Olbermann, Lou Dobbs, etc. etc. " are all entertainers... they all happen to have a political point of view just as you do.  none of them NONE of them  qualify as "sources" or reporters or anything other than Americans exercising their right of free speech.
just because an individual is a hollywood celebrity it does not take away their right to speak  other than from a scripted play or musical score.  some are more educated on the issues than others- even the most uninformed are allowed to speak their opinions in this country- your posts are proof positive.
my objections come from statements made based upon lies.  again, your post is a shining example of this.
  • toe · 1 year ago
mike, we are improving our lives-  we are voting in Obama.

    "oppression, tyranny, torture"
... we already have this here, mike.  wake up!  and you can add voter suppression, vote caging, electronic voting machines rigged, push-polling-  all underway by your buds in the GOP.

voter caging already underway by GOP.

    http://tpmcafe.talkingpointsmemo.com/talk/2008/09/gop-lose-your-house-lose-your.php

and the "push-poll" more back door underhanded tactics by the GOP underway.

    http://miamiherald.typepad.com/nakedpolitics/2008/09/gop-jewish-grou.html

the fact is this: the GOP cannot win on their own merit.  they are tied to failed policy- both foreign and domestic,  they have a candidate without a clue, they know that Obama has engaged the nation while the GOP has nothing but a bad record and promise more of the same...so, what do the GOP do? Try to create fear, they  lie and they cheat.  It's the only way they can win.

Can't get enough of that acid, can ya Toe?
  • toe · 1 year ago
urban poser- i never did acid, perhaps you can fill us in.

if you find it too troubling to seek truth,  you deserve everything you get and have absolutely no right to complain.
  • Mike · 1 year ago
At what point did I lie, Toe??? Did I miss something? And since when did you become an authority of what is a credible source? You have the nerve to talk about winning on merit!

Is that why Obama puts out adds poking fun of McCain for not knowing how to use a computer, when the reality is that McCain can't because of his physical handicap? Yeah, let's talk about merit Toe. Grow up, moron!
  • toe · 1 year ago
once again, the conservative shows what they do when pressed to the wall to put up or shut up:  when they have nothing, they point at the other guy and call names.
    so very mature.
    still waiting for your sources.

still waiting for Mr UC- who bad-mouths Media Matters every single time- to put here one single lie there.  prove yourselves.  i know that you have nothing... your problem is that you have not yet seen this.
it would be amusing except that you are playing with my future.
    i don't appreciate that.
    not one iota.

    News flash folks,

This clown Toe has become the authority on non-partisan, credible sources. Go ahead everyone, take a look at those links he posted. Nice try Toe. If these are what you call credible sources, you're more delusional than Barack Obama!
  • toe · 1 year ago
    mike...still waiting.
  • toe · 1 year ago
    i'll tell you what, mike-
go look it up for yourself.

    google it.  push-poll
    google it.  voter caging.

    then read.
i have work to do and my babysitting time is up.
  • Mike · 1 year ago
Umm, actually it's not a lie. Just because Obama either denies (lies) or avoids it, doesn't make it a lie. Have you ever heard of a guy named Reverend Wright?? Sure you have, but you like the rest of the blind Democrats just pretend it never happened. I am sorry you are so naive,Toe, but NOBODY...did you catch that...NOBODY...retains membership in a church for 20 years (approximately, so you don't start whining about that) if he/she does not agree with what is being preached (racism against Whites, anti-American hatred).

Wow!  How true!  People who can buy stock........like Chinese, Russians.....yeah, all kinds of people who's interests and the interest of their corporations are not always the same as the interest of America!
But no.....not all investors are evil.  I used to have some money invested, and i'm certainly not evil.

I think our nation shouldn't pander to the corporate will in every policy we make as a nation.  There is a greater good than profit, don't you think Mike?  Profit is good, until it starts killing people or hurting our national interest, such as oil has done to America.
One more thing.....if i was on acid.......i'd be unable to type, or for that matter read your post(it's silliness notwithstanding).

Unfortunately, both parties have pretty much sold out to their masters. Neither one represents the true liberal or conservative ideologies anymore. While I am a Republican with libertarian views mixed in, I'll try to make my analysis of the situation:

@conservatives: I don't like Obama, but is voting for McCain our best choice? Considering how Bush caused a HUGE deficit along with starting a war that really had no good strategy to begin with, are we really going anywhere with McCain? If McCain had stuck to the same platform as in 2000, then I'd vote for him in a heartbeat. However, he's not targeting any of the critical spending issues such as the war & the bailouts. Pork accounts for a small amount of the total deficit. He's nowhere even close to being a fiscal conservative.

@liberals: I know you're frustrated with Bush, but Obama isn't the candidate for you either. Once he picked Biden as his VP, I knew things wouldn't be any different. His health care plan is quite vague (UHC should be single-payer to reduce overhead and make it non-profit, not create an insurance monopoly through the government), he has backtracked on the war, he wants to add more taxes to an already huring economy, and he can't even think without his damn teleprompter in front of his face.

So, where do we go? I propose voting 3rd party. You have Cynthia McKinney (Green), Ralph Nader (Independent), Bob Barr (Libertarian), Chuck Baldwin (Constitution), and Brian Moore (Socialist). I'm still up in the air between Barr and Baldwin, but voting 3rd party is a much better choice compared to voting for the corrupt establishment.

Those who have investigated the potential communist links to Barack Obama have performed a truly worthwhile service by informing those who will listen of very real suspicions.
Many, many good men died in the long war against Marxism - most have now been forgotten were they ever remembered in the first instance. We shall honour their memory. A fame perpetual and a name immortal and everlasting.
The ignorant comments of the majority of those who have responded to these statements about Obama and Communism, are to be shrugged off just as many of my ancestors, as true western men, forged on and defeated those who would impose evil. The great failing as an ideology of communism in all its forms is little known but undeniable, despite its pretensions there always existed a fatal and massive flaw within its centre, namely the total lack of any mythus/mysticism. It was only the huge resources of the USSR together with the now more acknowledged weaknesses of many sections within the Western world that prevented its downfall 50 years earlier than happened. It is an indictment that those weaknesses have been allowed to grow and even be nurtured in the years that have flowed since that time. I have no doubt so much pain could have otherwise been avoided but that is the fault of many of man - they forget. Then again as some have recently proven - not all forget.
And to those who have not forgotten - I say, I have no doubt that after you have gone your real compatriots will be able to turn and remark “here was a man who ‘died a true american’”.

Obama loves Che. That is one reason why he loved the image Shepard Fairey created of him which was a complete rip off from another artists image of Che. Obama' campaign told Shepard to use HOPE instead of PROGRESS out of fear that people would connect the image to socialism or communism.  Another question is to ask why Obama supports illegal activity that cost tax payers billions per year.

    Here is the truth

Why is it that you can't admire someone for their achievements in life without their political affiliation coming into it? Che was a man who fought tyranny and gave his life so that millions of others could have better lives, and he's branded as satan spawn because he was left-wing (I mean actually left-wing, not the american left-wing that's actually right-wing, just slightly less-so than the american right-win) and not right-wing.

On a side note, "No, I don’t have an American flag outside of my house or on the back of my car." ... and yet you chastise someone for not wearing it?

i am not an expert in politics but i watch a lot of both fox and cnn. haha and what it seems like to me is every time obama is questioned about a mistake he gets aggrivated and blames it on some thing else. If a conservative politician made a mistake he or she couldnt walk out of their house without a bunch of freaky liberals throwing shit at them. haha i mean if something happens obama blames the bush administration.  But i think the point of this story is to show obama's lack of tradition (doesnt matter if you believe in tradition). Our country was founded on tradition and christianity. If the president of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA can't say god bless america then we live in a fucked up world!!! And this DAVID WALTERS all over this page....look dude if you dont want to live in a capitalist country then walk your ass across the candian border! JUST WAIT DEMORATES, REVOLUTION IS BREWING! and for the 2/3 of the nation that support all this radical change, remember 2/3 of the citizens of germany supported hitler and i would like to think there are more idiots than smart people!;)

i mean your telling me i have issues? Not that im gaybashing because im for homosexual rights but anyone with a name like queer and proud has no right to tell some one they have issues. My name isnt PUSSY LOVER! or STRAIGHT AND PROUD! im just a concerned citizen commenting on what i see is wrong with the country. Your the one who obviously has the issue here and its with me so im sorry if i offended you with my "bored at work" ramblings

queer means odd according to many - why you jumped on this, insisting it meant other than this is your problem.
your other problem is your "love it or leave it" issue.
    get over yourself, dude.
